Well, I must be a glutton for punishment. I've sold my Matchless G3LS [ex AFS] to fund this big heap of scrap!
I know some where in there is a really nice useable 'classic' been in bits, in boxes for years. My broth'er, took it to pieces 20+ years ago, has done some work [mainly engine/tin ware etc. etc.] pic to follow shortly.
I like 'B' range BEZZAS, it's funny how you like one mark of bike. I have owned five BSA's from the early age of 17 BSA A10 SRR 'those mad ton-up-days', when there were no crash helmets [what!], no motorways, chasing the traffic lights along the 'Great West Road' remember being pulled by two nice officers in a Daimler Dart, trips to Southend - just lads having fun. This ZB is a long term winter project - safely stored in the 'micro shed'...
Well, not so much of a glutton - look what I found - engine done. Only drawback is it has a 350 top end.
That 500 single has always alluded me!
Another nice surprise - a good looking gear box, all looks 'OK' even the sprocket - but will strip and check before this one gets built - last thing I want is to drag out the G/box for the sake of of not taking a look....
|Work to date: frame sprayed 2 pack [black]; tank painted early BSA light green [nice!]; enginge done [barrels silver] and also carb  done. Rear wheel with large sproket done on new [British] steel rim; new tyres Ensign Universal [block tread] and tubes - this bike is for Devon lanes.|
